An epic trip to the Andes with Karin Bush
The Trip: |
Peru's ancient treasures reflect some of the world's oldest and most cultured civilizations, and the sheer scale of the countrys archaeology is vividly captured when walking through the great citadels and fortresses that the Incas built in the Sacred Valley near Cusco. The indigenous Quechua people of this area maintain practices and traditions that date back to Inca times and today, they provide a warm welcome to visitors entering their former mountain kingdom. The locations that Sun Salute Retreats selected are some of the most beautiful and sacred locations for a yoga retreat in Peru.

The Teacher:
Karin is a certified yoga teacher (RYT-200) and passionate advocate for living a life she loves which is doing yoga, spending time with family and traveling around the world. After the years of being in the corporate world, I realize that I needed to focus more on finding my own happiness and embracing my true authentic self.
I credit my yoga practice as being one of the main tools in my self-care regimen that has helped me get through life’s difficulties and helping navigate through my own inner demons. Yoga is accessible to everyone and the desire to share this practice as a teacher stems from a sensitive reality that the yoga community strongly lacks diversity, both on a local and global scale. Honestly, it’s kinda rare I finds many people who look like me when I visit studios to practice. With that said, My mission to invite people of all colors, sizes, shapes, and socioeconomic statuses across the world to consider incorporating yoga into their fitness/ self-care regimen. You don’t need anything fancy…just yourself and the mat. Karin offers fun, energizing, and challenging vinyasa power flow classes for students of all levels in an atmosphere that cultivates a deep sense of community. |
