WAKE UP AMONG MOUNTAINS, COFFEE, AND LIVING CULTURE
The trip |
Get ready for a unique experience in the heart of Colombia’s Coffee Region: a land of endless green mountains, traditional haciendas, and towns filled with color and authenticity. Our journey will take us through valleys covered in coffee plantations, forests of century-old wax palms, and pathways where time seems to slow down. We will explore emblematic towns such as Salento and Filandia, where colonial architecture, the warmth of the people, and the gentle pace of daily life invite you to breathe more deeply.
This journey is an invitation to discover a treasure: Colombia, its culture, its nature… and the version of yourself that emerges when you allow yourself to pause, explore, and feel. |
Experience for the Soul |
During this journey we will experience the authentic essence of the Coffee Region: we will visit a traditional coffee farm to learn the process from the inside, hike through the high-altitude landscapes of the Nevado del Ruiz, unwind in natural hot springs surrounded by mountains, and discover the colorful beauty of Salento and other picturesque towns. Each activity is designed to connect with the soul of the region and complement the yoga practice, creating an integrated experience where nature, culture, and well-being come together.

The teachers:
|
Originally from the United Kingdom, Amanda Dee moved to New York in 2000, where she began her journey in the world of yoga. After completing the first of many teacher trainings in 2003, she spent the next 15 years developing her teaching style while living in Manhattan.
During that time, she worked full-time as a yoga instructor and taught at some of the city’s top studios, including Kula Yoga, Pure Yoga, and Reebok Sports Club, among others. She traveled and led international yoga retreats throughout South America, Central America, Europe, and Asia. In 2012, Amanda met her Spanish husband during one of the annual retreats she led in Africa, which led her to close her Manhattan yoga studio and relocate to southern Spain, where she opened another successful yoga studio, ReAlign Yoga Studio. There, she currently leads 200-hour teacher training courses as well as advanced trainings for teachers. She is also the founder of Sun Salute Retreats, organizing and producing retreats for many yoga instructors. In the past, Amanda Dee was one of the lead teachers on one of the first online yoga platforms, Be More Yogic. Amanda continues to travel internationally, teaching students and yoga teachers how to incorporate the study of biomechanics into their yoga practice. |

Atala:
I have practiced different physical activities for years, but since I discovered Vinyasa yoga, nothing has captivated me as much. The energy flowing within me, like a conscious dance, transformed not only my relationship with my body, but even more so with my mind and emotions. It has supported me through the most difficult moments of my life, offering perspective and helping me honor both my inner and outer self as a sacred space. It represents continuous learning, and the mat has become my place of peace. Becoming a teacher was the natural evolution of my practice after five years as a student; I needed to go deeper into the history, the philosophy, and of course the current approaches focused on biomechanics and mindfulness, among others, which add physiological and cognitive foundations to this ancient yet adaptive discipline—without taking away its transcendental purpose. |
