Yoga is a process of learning skillful action. Concise, systematic instruction allows the student to perform each pose in an anatomically intelligent way to avoid injury or pain. Classes are conducted with attention to the sequence of postures as they have a different effect on the mind and body based on the order in which they are performed. Alignment and sequencing are vital elements that ensure the student is steady and safe while practicing the poses. The student progresses along a spectrum of postures while gaining flexibility, strength and sensitivity in awareness. This retreat is open to all levels of Yoga practitioners who have some previous experience. |
